Loudicrous
It seems Lou Dobbs decided to join the choir of starry-eyed optimists who believe that the recession is over that the American economy will begin to recover any month now. Lou, what is the point of parading Nobel Prize-winning economists on your show if all you do is interrupt them with your idiotic ideas? I doubt Lou will answer my question or even read it, since he doesn’t know how to use the Internet.
As if to help me make my point, in the latest episode of his CNN spectacle Lou showed clips of his self-important speeches from September and October of last year, where he claimed that there was no threat of a depression. I am sure the millions of Americans who since then lost their jobs will appreciate Lou’s peculiar sense of humor. And as Lou was busy declaring the end to the recession in his today’s show, the scrolling news at the bottom of the screen informed us that the GM will be laying off another 1600 workers in the next couple of days.
Lou is like one of those red bags on a stick you see at the airports, turning wichever way the wind is blowing. Whatever is the prevailing public opinion on a given issue at the moment, that’s the opinion you will hear on Lou Dobbs Tonight. Unless it has something to do with Mexicans, in which case they should all drown in the moat to be built along the border. I am almost curious to see how Lou will spin his latest economic predictions when they don’t come true by the end of the year. He will probably pull up today’s clip of him making the faileid prediction and loudly proclaim victory, like he did today.
